Cooperation Reigns Supreme.

Talk about a plum assignment for someone at Classic Toy Trains. I heard the words "Nassau" and "Lionel" and was certain I was heading to the Caribbean — until I was awakened to the fact that the Nassau in the name of the model railroading club whose display I would be visiting was located on Long Island. Fortunately for me, the various sights and sounds of Nassau — the Lionel Operating Engineers and their three-rail display — proved to be more than enticing.

Nassau Lionel Operating Engineers display train models.

The Nassau Lionel Operating Engineers showed their model train layout to Levittown residents at their location on Hempstead Turnpike as part of their fall open house. The model displayed was the culmination of eleven years of work — the club has been in existence since 1983.
